I was told a few years ago that your federal income tax return can only direct deposit on Friday. Does anyone know if that is still the case? My tax return is scheduled to be direct deposited on March 17, which is a Wednesday, so I was wondering if I would have to wait until Friday to get it? Any information is appreciated!!

You filed your tax RETURN (that’s the forms you filled out) in order to claim a tax REFUND.
The refunds do deposit on Fridays.

I know this is an old thread… But the ignorance of “some people don’t get anything …think about that” is too much to pass up. It’s not free money. You do realize that the refund is Your money being refunded back to you right? Why are you shocked someone wants to collect on an interest free loan to the government?
